Vail Lacrosse Tournament Fields Near Our Avon Hotel
Avon Fields (0.3 miles)
These two fields are located just south of I-70 alongside Nottingham Lake and the town of Avon. These fields are usually used for high school boys contests. Directions:
- Take Benchmark Road southwest away from the hotel
- Benchmark Road becomes Lake Street
- The fields are located on the right side of Lake Street on either side of Nottingham Lake
Eagle-Vail Fields (3.2 miles)
These three fields sit on the east edge of Eagle-Vail, approximately three miles east of Avon. Men’s elite play happens at Eagle-Vail.
- Head southeast on Beaver Creek Boulevard
- At the traffic circle, continue straight on Beaver Creek Boulevard
- At the second traffic circle, turn onto Post Boulevard (first right)
- At the third traffic circle, turn onto US-6 E (second exit)
- Turn right onto Eagle Road – Eagle-Vail Pavilion will be at the end of the road
Edwards Fields (3.6 miles)
These four fields, located at Freedom Park/Battle Mountain High School in Edwards, most often host high school girls and men’s and women’s elite competition.
- Head northwest on W Beaver Creek Boulevard toward W Benchmark Road
- Turn right on US-6 W
- Turn right onto Miller Ranch Road – fields will be on your left
Donovan Field (7.8 miles)
This west Vail field is located just south of I-70, offering easy access and spectacular valley views. Donovan Field is used for supermaster and grandmaster competition.
- Head southeast on Beaver Creek Boulevard
- At the traffic circle, take the exit onto Avon Road (third exit)
- Merge onto I-70 W
- Follow signs heading to I-70 E
- At the traffic circle take the exit onto I-70 Frontage Road E – Donovan Pavilion will be on the right
Ford Fields (10.5 miles)
Located in Vail along I-70, this collection of six fields hosts games from the men’s elite, women’s elite, supermaster, grandmaster, masters, high school boys and chumash divisions.
- Drive southeast on Beaver Creek Boulevard
- At the traffic circle, take the exit onto Avon Road (third exit)
- Merge onto I-70 E
- Take exit 176
- At the traffic circle take the exit onto I-70 Frontage Road E – Ford Fields will be on the right
